How to Declare a Major

Human Development and Family Studies (HDFS) Major Admission Requirements

Contact Laura Holley

  • Completion of at least 24 semester credits (including HDFS 1500, HDFS 2000, HDFS 2400, and STAT 1040 or STAT 1045)
  • Overall cumulative GPA of 3.0 (a cumulative 3.0 GPA is required for graduation as well)
  • A grade of C or better is required in all major coursework including the pre-major courses listed above, and the respective required statistics courses.

Family Life Studies Major Admission Requirements
